  • Upgrade path would be as follows:
    • Upgrade to Web 8.x (9?)
    • Replace data providers with the latest DD4T/DXA 2.0 versions
    • Keep rest of application as is - everything else will just work thanks to data compatibility
  • New features made available due to new data model in DXA 2 would only be available after the content is republished.

OnnoHow comfortable are we with the changes that DXA 2.0 brings to DD4T. Some concerns were expressed - all depends on execution - but we believe the direction is the right one.
